Through meditation, I’ve learned to listen. Listen to my intuition. Listen to my breath. My mind started to become a powerful tool. “If you are quiet enough, you will hear the flow of the universe. Yoga is meditation. Stilling the waves of the mind, opening the heart, and learning to brave life’s inevitable obstacles. It’s breathing through movement. It strengthens us in almost every aspect of life. It has made me a better student. A better teacher. A better leader. A better human being.
Yoga is community. Witnessing classes blossom into community has been so incredibly moving. Classes are fueled by intention and breath that blends into a lighthearted atmosphere, holding a sacred space for practice. The energies of the students combine as one. Their effort is simply inspiring.
Yoga is healing. “I feel like I can get through today,” are words of a client that resonated with me after a private session. The goal of yoga is to create space where you were once stuck. To peel away the layers of protection around your heart. To make peace with you who are. To love yourself.
I love spreading the joy of yoga. Watching students heal and grow with strength and confidence. Instructor or not, we are all forever students of yoga. There’s always something to learn and improve inour practice. I’ve traveled to various parts of the world to study under prestigious teachers who’ve influenced my practice in so many beautiful ways.
